e.g. grains, plant-based foods, small toiletries
C
2–5kg CO₂e — Moderate impact
e.g. chicken, eggs, shampoo, moisturisers

How our grades are calculated:

Grades are based on the CO2Scan grading system, calculated per retail unit using lifecycle assessment methodology. Food data is sourced from Open Food Facts, beauty and personal care data from Open Beauty Facts. AI estimates are used where database data is unavailable. This is not an officially certified carbon label but serves as a guide to help support greener choices. See below for a link to the full methodology which is available on request.
